I have already been lurking around this website for a while now and have finally decided to become a member. I truly enjoy reading about all those different topics on this website .

I am a 25 year old male from Canada although not originally born there. I'm originally from Uk. I moved to Canada with our family in August 2005 and have lived there since that time. Canada is a wonderful place and I loved from the very first time I visited.

I hope to meet new people on this website and also contribute to the discussions on this site which I think I should be able to. So all in all nice to meet you guys!

I was watching Kōhaku Uta Gassen last night and saw the K-pop girl group SNSD (Girls' Generation) and just remembered about this project Ryuichi produced in 2002 called Route 0, which featured a Korean girl and a Japanese girl. Soo-young was the Korean girl from the duo, and she later became a member of SNSD.

This project was the result of a talent search show called ASAYAN. And it coincided with the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea. It was supposed to be a promotion for friendship between Japan and South Korea. Out of 15892 contestants, two girls were selected to form this duo (both were age 12 at the time).

I don't know which ones out of these songs is written by Ryuichi (nor will I spend time to look it up ), though songs like these are not my cup of tea, it just amazes me that Ryuichi has an early link to someone from one of the current top K-pop group... he actually "discovered" her, arguably..(?)

I was browsing this Russian (read: skimming through pictures and trying to decipher the links since I know nothing of Russian) LS community the other day and they've uploaded the video of J performing "BURN OUT" at the Rock in Japan Fest 2011 (it was the 3rd day, which makes it the 7th of August).
